Since 2005, J. Kenney Consulting Ltd. has worked with a wide variety of clients including educational institutions, public sector and not-for-profit organizations, other consultants, immigration lawyers, employers, skilled workers, business immigrants, and students.
Joe Kenney
Joe Kenney has over 15 years of experience in the field of immigration. He has served as a Consultant Director for the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) and has also been a part-time instructor for the Ashton College Immigration Consultant Diploma Program. He is currently an instructor for the University of British Columbia's Certificate in Immigration: Laws, Policies and Procedures.
Before founding J. Kenney Consulting, Mr. Kenney held leadership positions within the Immigration Division of the British Columbia government, serving as the Director of Economic Immigration Programs and the Manager of the BC Provincial Nominee Program. Prior to that, Mr. Kenney worked as a Senior Consultant in one of Canada's largest immigration consulting firms and served as National Vice-President of the Association of Immigration Counsel of Canada.
Joe Kenney is a registered member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and a registered member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC). For more information on Mr. Kenney's background and experience, see Credentials.
Minako Watanabe
Minako specializes in serving the Japanese-speaking clientele of J. Kenney Consulting. For over a decade, she has been assisting clients in dealing with the complexities of the Canadian immigration process. Ms. Watanabe is well known within the Vancouver-area Japanese community as someone who provides quality assistance and is always available to meet clients at times most convenient to them. Minako and Joe Kenney work together to ensure that J. Kenney Consulting’s clients are provided with comprehensive and seamless immigration representation.
Haiyan (Maggie) Wu
Maggie specializes in serving the Chinese-speaking clientele of J. Kenney Consulting. Ms. Wu is a registered member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Certificate in Immigration: Laws, Policies and Procedures.
Before entering the immigration consulting field, Ms. Wu worked for nearly a decade in the media industry in both China and Canada. She is fluent in Mandarin and English and able to use her thorough understanding of Canadian immigration policies and processes to ensure that J. Kenney Consulting’s clients reach their goals.
Flora Chou
Flora, a registered member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), holds Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and is also a graduate of the Immigration Consultant Diploma Program at Ashton College. As a qualified Immigration Consultant, Ms. Chou ensures that your application is completed accurately and professionally. With an excellent understanding of the immigration application process and great attention to detail, Flora ensures that clients of J. Kenney Consulting are provided with top-notch service. Flora is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
